A place to belong

A recent report published by UK Youth concluded that youth loneliness is a widespread, though little understood, problem in Britain and that living in a rural area is one of a number of factors that can increase the risk of loneliness. The report concludes that while “local youth organisations are well-placed to address youth loneliness”, youth workers need more support and “youth organisations need strategic and tactical guidance on how to address youth loneliness, renewed funding and more collaborative working between local services”.
